FedEx completes five years in Nepal

Kathmandu, December 28:
FedEx Express, world’s largest express transport company, has completed its five years of operation offering a full range of FedEx services in Nepal.
Everest De Cargo Pvt Ltd, licensee of FedEx Express, yesterday organised an annual event to mark the fifth anniversary. R M Singh, managing director of Everest De Cargo, said that the company has been providing FedEx Express services in line with FedEx’s global strategy of continually providing enhanced services to its customers.
“The company has been making continuous investment to set up a dedicated team of trained and experienced personnel to ensure that shipments are delivered worldwide safely and on-time,” he added.
According to Singh, FedEx’s Nepal operation is catered from its head office at Kantipath and associate offices in Pulchowk and Kamaladi. Everest De Cargo has also initiated FedEx authorised ship centres at Bouddha and Basantapur in Kathmandu. “We look for opportunities to expand and to provide FedEx services across other parts of the country,” he said.
FedEx Express is an operating unit of FedEx Corp, which connects areas that generate 90 per cent of the world’s GDP within one to three business days with transportation of more than 3.5 million items to 220 countries and territories each working day. FedEx Express employees more than 1,41,000 employees, 669 aircrafts and approximately 44,500 motorised vehicles in its integrated global network.
