Security personnel and looters exchanged fire at the Phurumbu VDC yesterday.

A patrol team of police fired in retaliation when the looters fired at the cops when they was returning from duty, police said, adding that there were no reports of casualty. The patrolling team led by SI at district police office Umesh Yadav had been dispatched to Phurumbu after police was informed that persons, including Hang Narayan Limbu, Krishna Limbu and Narayan Limbu, were terrifying locals by threatening them and collecting donations, police said.
