Birgunj, January 31:

Police were yet to arrest those involved in yesterday’s blast outside Narayani Stadium. Police said their investigations have been hampered. as seven different armed groups had taken the responsibility for the blasts.

Armed groups including Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha (Goit), Janatantrik Mukti Morcha (Jwala), Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha (Prithvi), Samyukta Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha, Tarai Mukti Morcha, Madhesi Mukti Tigers called journalists and owned up the blast.

Police said its preliminary investigation had found all the armed organisations were successful in ushering in their cadres into the stadium with the help of political parties, volunteers and press passes.

However, police claimed nobody had entered the stadium with explosives.
