National Campus starts Int’l MBA programme

Kathmandu, March 20:
National Campus, in partnership with Far Eastern University (FEU) of the Philippines, has launched international MBA programme -Doing Business in ASEAN.
The programme, which is supported by SGV & Co — member practice of Ernst & Young Global — aims to provide globally competitive education to generate new breed of managers and professionals.
“Rapid growth of Asian economies has resulted in a growing demand for a new breed of managers and professionals with dynamic knowledge and understanding of culture, business and economies,” said Sumit Sharma, coordinator -communications at the National Campus.
The programme has been crafted to equip the young professionals to compete in the international business area, he said, adding that it has adapted best elements of courses from Nepali and Filipino management.
The college has an intake capacity of 40 students per semester, where it will have equal number of faculties from Nepal and the Philippines. It plans to commence the course from May-June this year.
“Students with a Bachelor’s Degree from any faculty can apply for the programme but they require 500 points in GMAT or pass the CAT examination,” Sharma said. The three semesters of the programme will be in Nepal and the final semester or the internship will be in the Philippines.
According to him, FEU is one of the leading private universities in the Philippines that offers progra-mmes in diversified areas.
