Gold bounces back

KATHMANDU: After hitting a sky-high last week, the gold prices opened at Rs 19,505 per 10 gram (Rs 22750 per tola) in the domestic market. However, the price of the precious yellow metal bounced back to Rs 20,000 per 10 gram (Rs 23,328 per tola) on Thursday before closing at Rs 19,890 on Friday, the last day of the trading in the domestic market. Further weakening of dollar and rising crude prices have pushed the gold price up. Similarly, silver also opened at Rs 380 per 10 gram (Rs 443 per tola) but bounced back to close at Rs 394.50 per 10 gram (Rs 460 per tola) on Friday. — HNS
