Kathmandu, April 7:
The occurrence of tuberculosis is high among women and small children, doctors said today.
Devendra Bahadur Pradhan, chairperson of Nepal TB Control Centre said the incidents of TB are increasing in small children and women since the TB bacteria easily infects weak persons and children.
Speaking at a programme organised by Community Support and Development Programme, with the support of Nepal TB Control Centre, he said TB was an airborne infectious disease that can settle anywhere in the body and damage our organs like throat and bones, not merely lungs.
