Dang, January 26:

A report has exposed custodial killings carried out by both the security forces and the Maoists.

Maoist activist Dhani Ram Kandel of Pawan Nagar was killed by security forces, while an armyman Ram Prasad Chaudhary stationed in Tulsipur was by the Maoists after both were taken under custody. The custodial killings were exposed today following on-the-spot investigation by a joint team of human rights activists, civil society and journalists active in Dang.

The report concluded stating both killings were against Nepal’s laws and international human norms and condemned the same.
