Pyuthan, August 30:

Three persons were killed and 12 injured when a tractor skidded off and tumbled down a road in Sallaghari of Dakhakwadi Village Development Committee in Pyuthan district today.

Police identified the dead as Bikram Chaudhari, Rupesh Nepali and Pradip Nepali.

The trio, who were critically injured in the accident, died while undergoing treatment in the Pyuthan District Hospital, the District Police Office said.

According to the police, the rest of the injured are undergoing treatment in the same hospital. While, four seriously injured passengers have been referred to another hospital, said Dr Hari Bahadur KC of the district hospital. The tractor skidded off and fell some 20 meters down the road after its brakes failed.
