Kathmandu, September 26:

A member of the Constituent Assembly today found a nail on a plate full of food. CA member from the Nepal Workers’ and Peasants’ Party Sunil Prajapati found the nail while having lunch at the CA cafeteria.

A furious Prajapati raised the issue at the legislative session of the CA, flashing the piece to CA chairman Subas Chandra Nembang. “Had I not noticed it, I would have been hospitalised by this time,” Prajapati said. He said this incident had made him suspect the quality of food available at the criteria.

“Is this the food of European standard?” he said in a reference to cafeteria management committee chief Pari Thapa’s recent claim. The Thapa-led panel had carried out a study

to improve quality of food at the cafeteria. It had revamped cafeteria management. Nembang drew the attention of cafeteria management committee to the incident.
