Nepalgunj, October 14:

Nepal’s international handball player Pratap Shrestha (38) died when a roof of a house in Bageshwori Tole in Nepalgunj collapsed and hit him last night.

Shrestha died on his way to Lucknow, India, for treatment, DSP Govindaram Pariyar said, adding that house owner Suresh Gupta is being treated in Mid-Western Regional Hospital, Nepalgunj.

Shrestha was a bronze medal winner in the second SAF Handball Championship held in Bangladesh in 2004. He has also won numerous gold medals in different national tournaments.
