Sarlahi: President of the Tarai Madhes Democratic Party Mahantha Thakur today said that the Maoist combatants should be integrated into the Nepal Army (NA) in accordance with the Comprehensive Peace Accord signed by the then seven parties and the Maoists in 2006. Speaking at a press meet organised in Malangawa on Monday, he said, “The combatants are now getting allowances from government as per the CPA. If the government refuses to give allowance, it would not only be against the CPA but would also invite a catastrophe for all.” He also said the Maoist combatants and people of the Tarai origin should be included into the NA en masse to make it more inclusive.
