CA members move amendment motions

Kathmandu, November 13:

Constituent Assembly (CA) members of various parties today registered amendment proposals with the parliament secretariat on the CA Regulations and Legislature-Parliament Regulations. Discussions on both the regulations are scheduled for for tomorrow’s sessions of parliament and CA.

Parliament secretariat officials said Suresh Kumar Ale Magar and Uma Bhujel of the CPN-Maoist, Mohammdad Rizwan, Nazir Miya, Hasina Miya and Krishna Prasad Sapkota of the CPN-UML, Chitra Bahadur KC of Rastriya Janamorcha Nepal, Bishwendra Paswan of Dalit Janajati Party moved their amendment proposals on various clauses of both the regulations.

Similarly, Ramesh Lekhak of Nepali Congress and Jitendra Prasad Sonar of Tarai-Madhes Democratic Party jointly registered amendment proposals on Legislature-Parliament Regulations.

Lekhak and Sonar have proposed to form a 29-member Comprehensive Peace Accord Implementation Monitoring Special Committee and a 29-member Conflict Victims’ Rehabilitation and Relief Mobilisation Monitoring Special Committee.

They have also proposed to form a 29-member Special Rights Committee to look into violations of the Legislature-Parliament’s rights.
