Jajarkot, December 3:

Accusing the bride’s relatives of thrashing and abducting the groom and his father following an inter-caste marriage, kin of the latter have lodged a case in District Administration Office.

Govinda Nepali and Kshitiz Kumari Singh of Khagenakot Village Development Committee had tied the knot on November 4 at Rukum’s Aathabisakot.

Dilli BK and Deviram BK filed the case in DAO on December 1, claiming that the whereabouts of the disappeared bridegroom, Govinda, and his father, Karabir Nepali, were unknown.

They have also accused the police of ignoring the case though they had informed Area Police

Office, Chaukha, and Area Police Office, Dalli.

Up to 25 persons, led by Janga Bahadur Singh, allegedly abducted the duo on December 1.

Deviram, who came to file the case, said, “We came here after the local administration overlooked our complaint.” He alleged that the group had also threatened them with life.

Meanwhile, National Dalit Network has condemned the incident and demanded action against the miscreants.
