Damak, February 26:

Bhutanese refugees living in several camps in Morang and Jhapa have urged national and international communities to help them to return to their homeland.

Four different organisations of the refugees urged them to be patient about their repatriation and asked the national and international communities to facilitate their return to the homeland.

Issuing a joint press release, Bhutan Human Rights Organisation, Elderly Citizens’ Group, Bhutan Gurkha Mukti Morcha and Bhutan Refugee Repatriation Council urged all sectors concerned to help the refugees for repatriation along with the third country settlement.

The organisations also called for representation of the refugees in the talks scheduled between Bhutan, Nepal and India over the refugee issue.
