Girl traffickers held

DHANGADHI: Police have arrested four persons involved in trafficking 13 girls of Butakauwa village of Dodhara VDC-1 in Kailali. They were arrested while they were heading to India via Bhajani point in Bauniya bazaar on Friday morning. The arrested are Dilip Pun (35), Narayan Pun (29), Karma Gharti and Ram Kumari Pun (35). — HNS

Outage to stabilise

KATHMANDU: Denying accusations of Nepal Electricity Authority of cutting power supply for more than the announced 96-hour a week and the rumour of load-shedding hours increasing in the near future, Chief of Load Despatch Centre of the NEA Sher Singh Bhat, on Friday said the power outage period was unlikely to expand. “We are importing 50 MW of electricity from India in the eastern region. Moreover, the melting of snow will start soon, feeding more water to the rivers,” Bhat said. — HNS
