Biratnagar, March 11:
Supply of petroleum products to the northern parts of Sagarmatha Zone has been obstructed for the past 11 days due to the ongoing Tarai bandh.
Nepal Oil Corporation informed that it couldn’t supply petroleum products due to the bandh. On a normal day, the NOC used to supply 100 kl of diesel and 12 kl of kerosene to Sagarmatha Zone.
Similarly, the bandh has affected import of petroleum products in Jhapa, Morang and Sunsari districts. NOC’s regional director Mukunda Ghimire said the NOC was using alternative ways for the transportation of petroleum products.
He claimed that petrol pumps in Morang were supplying petroleum products as per the demand of the customers.
