NFSL’s objection
KATHMANDU: National Forensic Science Laboratory (NFSL) has objected to the unauthorised use of its report by Highland Distillery. NSFL said the distillery illegally used NFSL’s report on sample tests to advertise Virgin brand of whiskey. — HNS
JBBL opens branch
KATHMANDU: Jyoti Bikash Bank Ltd (JBBL) established its third branch at Koteshwor on Monday. According to a press release, the bank wil soon open a fourth branch in Jorpati. It has various schemes like Bal Kalyan Bachat Khata with an interest rate of seven per cent per annum and it can be opened at a minimum balance of Rs 1,000. The scheme is for children below 16 years of age. — HNS
Thai event
KATHMANDU: Koelnmesse GmbH, along with Thailand Chamber of Commerce and Department of Export Promotion (DEP)-Bangkok head office, Ministry of Commerce of the Royal Thai Government, is organising an international trade exhibition ‘THAIFEX-World Food Asia 2009’ from May 13 to 17. The event will be held at the Challenger 2-3, IMPACT exhibition centre, Muang Thong Thai, Bangkok. It will have a one-stop shop for a spectrum of food and hospitality products and services, food technology, retail and franchise. — HNS
