Petroleum shortage hits Ramechhap

Ramechhap, April 5:

Shortage of petroleum products has hit the locals and business of the district for some days now.

Stating that there was difficulty in transporting petroleum products due to the protest of Nepal Petroleum Transport Federation, the local businessmen created artificial shortage of petroleum products, said chairman of Ramechhap Chamber of Commerce and Industries Nabin KC.

Local hotelier Purna Bahadur Thapa said that there was shortage of petroleum products for about a month. He complained that he couldn’t run his hotel smoothly due to the lack of kerosene.

“People are facing difficulties as there was shortage of kerosene in the market for more than a month,” a local trader Nilhari Ghimire said. Meanwhile, CDO Jitendra Bahadur Bhandari said that he hadn’t heard any complaints from anybody about the shortage of petroleum products in the district.
