KATHMANDU: The Unified CPN-Maoist on Wednesday disrupted the House proceedings for the second consecutive day demanding withdrawal of the President's decision to reinstate Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Rookmangud Katawal.

Immediately after Speaker Subas Nembang began the meeting, UCPN-M representatives chanted slogans against President Dr Ram Baran Yadav. Speaker Nembang postponed the House until Sunday following the protest. The Maoists announced to obstruct the House proceedings until the President withdrew his decision. They said the President's decision undermined civil supremacy and violated the constitution.
