Victim-friendly rules KATHMANDU: Experts on Friday stressed victim-friendly rules on sexual abuse in order to provide justice to sexually exploited children. Milan Dharel, director, Children-Women in Social Service and Human Rights, said the law should be formulated from the perspective of the exploited. He opined that police, doctors, lawyers and policy makers should responsibly decide the cases of survivors. — HNS
Qualification for MPs KATHMANDU: A majority of the people have suggested that SLC be set as minimum qualification for lawmakers. Suggestions collected by the CA teams revealed that 9,068 respondents wanted SLC as the minimum qualification of the members of parliament and 6,860 wanted the bachelor's degree. While 7,285 persons said anybody who can read and write is eligible to be a lawmaker. — RSS
