EBL in Surkhet KATHMANDU: Everest Bank Ltd (EBL) opened a new branch in Surkhet on Monday. With this, the bank now has 31 branches and five extension counters all across Nepal. SBL’s branches KATHMANDU: Siddhartha Bank Ltd inaugurated a branch office at Tikapur on Sunday, at Kanchanpur on Monday and at Dhangadi on Tuesday. According to the first nine months’ data of the bank, it has operating profit of Rs 253.3 million. The total deposit is Rs 13.60 billion and investments Rs 13.47 billion. —HNS

IFC, SCT deal KATHMANDU: International Finance Corporation (IFC), World Bank Group, and Smart Choice Technologies (SCT) entered into an agreement on June 9. IFC has now become one of the equity holders of SCT with 19 per cent investment. IFC regional manager Per Kjellerhaug, and SCT chairman Rabindra B Malla signed the agreement documents. —HNS
