Voters list updated KATHMANDU: Election commission, Kathmandu district chapter, informed that it had completed the preliminary task of updating the voters list. The commission also requested all the people to contact the office if it had failed to enlist their names in the voters list. It also said that people had to come with their citizenship certificates if they wanted to correct any mistakes. According to the commission, it would finalise the list after making the corrections. — HNS Maoists slammed KATHMANDU: Shahid Gangalal National Heart Centre has condemned the act of the Maoist activists who had torched Dr Roshan Raut’s motorcycle for defying the bandh called by the party on Monday. Dr Raut was heading to Gangalal Heart Foundation to attend to an emergency case. The bandh enforcers had torched Dr Raut’s motorcycle at Chabahil even after he had showed his identity card and explained his situation, stated a press statement issued by the centre. The statement also expressed serious concern about the increasing threat to health workers and the increasing violent activities and impunity in the nation. —HNS Cop found dead KATHMANDU: Dolakh Bahadur Subedi was found dead in the Guheswori temple premises on Monday. Subedi, a resident of Phedikhola-8, Syangja, was deployed for the security of the temple. According to the police, Subedi had been found with his throat slit in his room. The room was locked from inside. “Primary investigation indicates that he committed suicide,” said Pariyar. — HNS
