Five girls rescued in Nepalgunj

NEPALGUNJ: A joint team of the Nepal-India border police, Jumunaha and Maiti Nepal rescued five women who were being trafficked to India from Jamunaha, Nepalgunj on the Indo- Nepal border on Monday. The rescued girls have been identified as Sita Chalaune, Bhima Oli, Mamata Mager, Saru Khadka and Sashikala Sapkota from Salyan, Lalitpur and Kavre districts. According to the Keshav Koirala, regional coordinator of Maiti Nepal, Nepalgunj the rescued girls have been kept in Maiti Nepal's office until they are taken back to their respective families. None of the culprits involved in the crime were apprehended.
