PALPA: Two Indian nationals were killed and five others, including one Nepali, were injured when a car met with an accident at Khorpani of Palpa's Chirtungdhara VDC on Monday. The car was heading to Pokhara from Tansen, district headquarters of Palpa. The Indian nationals had come all the way from New Delhi for a road-trip to Nepal. Forty-year-old Anita Podi of Jamuna Bihar, India, died on the spot while 45-year-old Gopal Padi died while undergoing treatment in Tansen Mission Hospital, the district police office said. The car plunged 250 metres down the road, after it hit pedestrian Nirajan Singh, 18, a resident of Khorpani, Tansen. Injured Singh, car driver Mohan Kumar, 32, Anu Priya, 12, Prem Jodi, 5, and 50-year-old Anita Podi are undergoing treatment in Palpa's Mission Hospital, according to District Police Office, Palpa.
