The duo defeated Jitendra Pariyar and Malika Rana in straight sets of 6-4, 6-1 in the final. In veteran (above 35yrs) doubles final, Soviet Man Shrestha and Chandra Shahi came from a set down to beat Manoj Rana and Sanu Gurung 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. FIFA had written to Iran on Wednesday asking for clarification on media reports that several players were permanently banned for showing support for defeated presidential candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi.
