KATHMANDU: Grace Academy, Gita Mata HS School and Nilkantha HS School entered the Group D semi-finals at the Coca-Cola Inter-school National Football Tournament qualifiers here at the Sanogaucharan grounds on Sunday. Grace Academy beat Kathmandu Xavier Public School 1-0 on a solitary goal from Manish Shah in the 52nd minute. In the other match, Gita Mata defeated Lord Buddha Secondary School 3-2. Akrish Lama put Lord Buddha ahead in the 26th minute, while Rakesh Thapa levelled the scores in the 42nd minute. Ajay Kapali gave Gita Mata the lead in the 59th minute and Rakesh made it 3-1 with his second goal of the match in the 65th minute. Kumar Tamang reduced the margin in the 80th minute. Also, Nilkantha School of Dhading came from behind to beat Bidhya Mandir Secondary School 2-1. Bishwo Shrestha put Bidhya Mandir ahead in the 23rd minute, while Ashish Shrestha scored the equaliser for Nilkantha in the 56th minute. Gopi Krishna Bhandari scored the winner for Nilkantha in the 65th minute. In the Group E match, Bal Kumari Secondary School beat Namuna Machhindra High School 3-1. Shyam Maharjan scored a brace in the 32nd and 56th minutes before Roj Deula reduced the margin the 57th minute. Mani Raj Maharjan of Bal Kumari put the issue beyond doubt with a goal in the 70th minute.
