KATHMANDU: Public Enterprises Sports Development Association, Nepal (PESDAN) is organising the first Inter-Enterprises Sports Tournament from June 30 to July 5 in Kathmandu. More than 500 players from 18 enterprises are expected to take part in the six-day event, said the organisers on Sunday. The tournament features four events — Volleyball (men and women), Badminton (singles and doubles in men’s, women’s, veteran’s and special categories), Table Tennis (singles and doubles in men’s and women’s, veteran’s doubles and special singles) and Chess. Special category is reserved for the first class and above officials, said President of PESDAN Dandapani Bashyal. A total of 17 gold medals are on offer and the team winning most number of medals will be get the running shield. PESDAN Vice President Kul Bahadur Acharya and General Secretary Mitra Kumar Rai among others were also present on the occasion.
