KATHMANDU: Patan Appellate Court Bar Association has asked Vice-President Paramananda Jha to abide by the law, constitution and the Supreme Court verdict. Issuing a press release, the bar body called on Jha to take a fresh oath as directed by the apex court or quit. “We have taken the remarks by such a dignitary, who is a retired SC Justice, to have been against the rule of law and the constitution,” read the statement issued by secretary Basanta Bahadur Basent. The association stated that Jha’s remarks had stunned the lawyers.
