World Water Day marked
Kathmandu: A special programme was organised in Lalitpur under the joint auspices of the Department of Local Infrastructure Development and Agricultural Roads and the Peace Concern and Development Forum on the occasion of the World Water Day on Tuesday. The theme of the world water day this year is — Water for Life. Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare Durga Shrestha inaugurated the programme. Dhakal addresses IT meet
Kathmandu: Minister for Information and Communication, Tanka Dhakal, on Tuesday said Nepal has realised that information communication technology (ICT) can play a vital role to speed up the development process of a rugged-mountainous country like ours and that the Nepal government has given due priority to promote the use and application of information and communication technology in every aspects of society. “ICT can play very important role in promoting good governance, socio-economic development activities and in the social service delivery processes”, minister Dhakal said while addressing the 3rd IT Minister’s Summit in Manama, Bahrain, on Tuesday. — RSS
