CTF-2005 is being organised with the objective to show the high quality Chinese products to Nepali and other South Asian businessmen. The fair will have a display of Chinese products, which have good demand in Nepal. Raw materials and standard machinery for pharmaceutical industry, hospital equipment and other medicine and health products, computers and peripherals, office equipment, mobile phones, automobiles, raw materials like silk and pashmina for textile industry and readymade garments, home appliances and agricultural products would be some of the major attractions of the fair. Likewise, construction companies, travel and tour agents are also taking part in the event.
Speaking at a press meet organised in the capital today, Naresh Chandra Lamichhane, executive director at TPC said that the event would help in identifying the potential investment sector for Chinese investors and ultimately help in increasing Nepali exports. Representative from the Chinese embassy said that the bilateral economic development has gained momentum after the establishment of diplomatic relation between the two countries and the CTF-2005 would provide a platform for entrepreneurs of both the nation to interact and find a common platform.
