KATHMANDU: Hosts Prime and Golden Gate ‘A’ filed second consecutive wins in the seventh Prime Cup U-19 (+2) Basketball Championships here on Sunday. Prime registered a massive 58-14 win over National Campus riding on Mausam Gurung’s 20 points. Golden Gate ‘A’ thrashed Rato Bangla 55-30 after Pradeep Bhattachan top scored with 17 points. In other matches, VS Niketan edged past Campion College by 54-20, Golden Gate ‘B’ beat Reliance 53-21 and Gyanodaya saw off Whitefield 40-28. Likewise, Bern Hardt sneaked past Xavier International 40-39 to register their first win in the tournament. In the only girls’ section, Whitehouse eased past Ullens 33-6. Mrinalini Shrestha scored 15 points for the winners.
