Two persons were killed and 15 seriously injured in a bus mishap on Prithvi Highway yesterday night.

The bus with plate number Na 2 Kha 559 was heading for Malangwa from Kathmandu when it fell 60 metres off the highway at Jungekhola of Thankre village development committee ward number five at 10 p.m.

Two bodies have been recovered, but have not been identified so far, Dhruv Bahadur Rawat, the inspector at the Area Police Office, Khanikhola, said.

He added, the injured are receiving treatment at the Bir Hospital in Kathmandu.

Police suspect dense fog may have been the cause of the mishap.

Unavailability of documents was creating difficulties in investigation, police added.
