KATHMANDU: Yan Helen Willford won the Surya Nepal Gokarna Monthly medal golf tournament here at the Gokarna Golf Club today. The 31-handicap player Willford accumulated six-under par 66 net score to win the tournament. Peter Morris came second with three-under 69, while Josef Zimmermann finished third with two-over 74. In all, 19 golfers took part in the seventh tournament under the 2009 season. Senior member of the Gokarna Golf Club Min Bahadur Raut gave away prizes to the winners. After the completion of the seven monthly medal tournaments, Joseph Nathan leads the table with 204 points, well ahead of second-placed Wanchen Dhondup, who has 192 points. The winner will be declared after the last event of the season scheduled for December 2.
