Kids have a ball at Xmas Carnival

KATHMANDU: Away from their scheduled life of school and home, the children had an opportunity to experience a new fun environment prepared only for them. They danced, ate food of their choice and played games they liked the most and enjoyed themselves to the fullest. The children got this opportunity at Billy the Kid Christmas Carnival held on the premises of Hotel Soaltee Crowne Plaza on December 19. Rishav Jain, holding a bag full of prizes after winning in the Bingo shared, “I had been here last year. It’s really a fun-filled place. I am enjoying a lot.” Not only Rishav, almost every child present at the carnival was busy playing some games or other. Children present there had so much to indulge in like horse riding and face painting and variety of food stalls. Compared to other stalls, the face painting stall was the most crowded one. Ashiyana Prasai, who had come with her mother, was seen urging her mother to let her paint her face. Eight-year-old Sarah who had already had her face painted said, “It is the most interesting thing among all.” Guardians present at the carnival also seemed busy fulfilling the desires of their children. Daniel Mendes, who had come to the carnival for the second time with his nephew said, “The ambience is very child-friendly which has let them enjoy a lot.” Twenty underprivileged and differently-abled children from Save the Children also enjoyed the festival. Soaltee has been organising this kind of carnival since the last eight years. “The Christmas carnival solely for the entertainment of the children so that they can get a fun break from their routine life,” said Liza Manandhar, Assistant Marketing Manager of the hotel.
