Finally, the wait is over. There is good news for Nepali bike enthusiasts. Bajaj is all set to pull off the wraps on its much-anticipated bikes loaded with zeal for adventure and racing in the Nepali market. HH Bajaj, authorised distributor of Bajaj bikes, is planning to simultaneously roll out its three latest offering — Pulsar RS200, Pulsar AS200 and AS150 on August 1 in the domestic market.

The AS bikes come under the Adventure series while the RS comes under the racing series. “We are optimistic about these bikes as we have been receiving a significant number of enquiries regarding the bikes,” said Punam  Singh, Head of Marketing at HH Bajaj, adding that they have already received over 100 bookings for RS200 within a week in the valley alone. “These bikes live up to their themes and justify the spirit of adventure and racing,” she added. According to her, they aim to sell as many as 2,500 units of AS and around 1,000 units of RS200 within the first year of their launch in the domestic market.

The price of Pulsar RS200 is Rs 399,900 while that of Pulsar AS150 and AS200 are Rs 249,900 and Rs 284,900 respectively. The Pulsar RS200 looks muscular and with the HD focus twin projector headlamps look absolutely aggressive. In addition, the stylish front fairing and performance dynamics add a different character altogether to this new-age Pulsar. Powered by a 4-valve, tri-tech, FI liquid-cooled engine, the RS200 delivers a maximum power of 24.5 PS at 9750 rpm and a peak torque of 18.6Nm at 8000 rpm. The racing bike is armed with single channel anti-lock braking system (ABS), which ensures the perfect braking experience. The telescopic front suspension with anti friction bush and the nitrox mono shock absorber at rear with canister do their best to ensure stability and smooth ride on even rough roads. With the 17-inch tyres the bike offers good grip and ensures a comfortable and easy riding position with the racing thrill.

The design of the Pulsar AS bikes offer the feel of ‘adventure’ with the quarter fairing blending well with the sculpted tank and the split seats. The projector headlamps, tall windscreen and the 10-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels catches your eye at first glance give it a touring character. The telescopic front suspension and the rear mono shock do their best to absorb rough roads and the tyres offer good grip on both the bikes.

The AS offers a comfortable and easy riding position. Sharing the same design, the AS 150 gets an all-new, freshly tuned air-cooled DTSi engine, which delivers a maximum power of 17 PS at 9500 rpm and a peak torque of 13 Nm at 7500 rpm. At the meantime, powered by liquid-cooled Tri-tech engine, AS 200 provides a maximum power of 23.5 PS at 9500 rpm and a peak torque of 18.3 Nm at 8000 rpm. Both the bikes are mated to five-speed gearbox. The AS 150 offers an impressive ground clearance of 170 mm while the AS 200 offer 167 mm.
