Renault launches Kwid hatchback with new 1.0L SCe engine

KATHMANDU: Advanced Automobiles, the authorised distributor of Renault in Nepal launched its latest offering, the KWID hatchback, on May 10.

Equipped with a powerful new 1.0L Smart Control Efficiency (SCe) engine, the KWID hatchback claims to redefine conventional notions about the one-litre segment by setting new benchmarks in length, power to weight ratio, boot space and ground clearance.

It flaunts an SUV inspired design and comes with a seven inch touch-screen media navigation system, an ergo smart cabin, one-touch lane change indicator, speed-dependent volume control, multiple storage spaces and a boot capacity of 300 litres.

Its safety features include pro-sense seat belt pretensioners with load limiters and an optional driver side airbag. According to a press release issued by the company, Renault previously sold 1000 units of Kwid and Duster in eight months.

Their latest offering is projected as a powerful option for customers seeking to purchase cars in the compact hatchback segment, being attractive, innovative and affordable. The new Kwid is offered in two variants. The Kwid 1.0L SCe is priced starting at Rs 20,98,000.
