VW coming with Amarok and new Tiguan

Pooja International, authorised importer of Volkswagen cars is shortly launching its luxury pickup — Amarok in the Nepali market followed by the launch of new Tiguan. Amarok is expected to roll out in the streets of Kathmandu by around second half of December while the new Tiguan is expected to launch by the end of March 2017.

“We are optimistic about the new luxury pickup and we expect to sell around four dozen vehicles within the first year of their launch in the Nepali market,” said Devashish Biswas, Assistant General Manager - Marketing at Pooja International. Citing that the Tiguan has already created its own name in the segment, he said, “We expect to sell around 64 units of the SUV in 2017.” According to him, Amarok will be tentatively priced at around Rs nine million while that of new Tiguan will be around Rs 12.8 million.

The company claims that Amarok unites cross-country mobility, flexibility and efficiency like no other pickup.
