KATHMANDU: A total of 302 industries have been registered at the Department of Industry in the past eight months of the current fiscal year.

The industries with domestic as well as foreign investment propose to provide direct employment to around 20,000 people. New industries have injected a total investment worth Rs. 232.87 billion.

The number of registration of industries has gone up with the country entering a phase of political stability, thereby giving investors an atmosphere of trust, said Spokesperson at the Department Durga Prasad Bhusal.
