ADB awards three projects

Kathmandu, June 3:

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) presented the three best performing ADB-supported project teams in Nepal with the Outstanding Project Management Team Award.

The winning project teams are the Small Towns Water Supply and Sanitation Project (STWSSP), the Road Network Development Project (RNDP) and the Rural Finance Sector Development Cluster Program (RFSDCP).

Finance secretary Vidyadhar Mallik presented the awards to the winning project teams at a function held at ADB’s Nepal Resident Mission today.

He urged the development partners including ADB to keep the development agenda at centre stage, while extending their support.

“It seems the situation ahead will be challenging. Proper utilisation of the project funds will enhance the productivity,” he added.

“These awards recognise the project teams’ excellent performance, efficiency and achievement of targets,’ said Paul J Heytens, ADB-country director for Nepal.
