Cold storage for junar

SINDHULI: A cold storage for junar is to be built at Dobhantar of Kamalamai Municipality-9. The 250-metric tonne capacity store will be constructed at a cost of Rs 8.7 million with an assistance from Japanese Embassy, Sindhuli DDC, VDCs and other local organisations. The cold storage can store up to six months, said Chulai Chaudhari, agriculture publicity officer at the DADO. The district produces 10,000 metric tonnes of junar. — RSS

Indian inflation rises

NEW DELHI: India’s inflation rate has risen to a 15-week high of 5.16 per cent, fuelling expectations of an interest rate hike this month. The wholesale price index, the most closely watched price barometer in India, jumped nearly four-tenths of a percentage point in the week ending September 30 from 4.77 per cent a week earlier. — AFP
