Dhading: Chepangs in a southern VDC of Dhading, are no longer roaming in jungles or surviving on bhyakur gittha (Dioscorea deltoidea). They have turned to animal husbandry. Forty-four households of the Chepang community in Jogimara VDC-6 of the district are rearing buffalos and goats. The change was wrought with an aid package of Rs 665,000, from Poverty Alleviation Fund, said Ram Chandra Chepang.
