KATHMANDU: Shequal Foundation, in collaboration with Ncell Axiata Ltd, is organising 'Hacking for Humanity Hackathon', targeting girls from information technology (IT) from across the country.
The hackathon is being conducted on February 10 to 12, as per a press release. As part of its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and to support women in the IT field, Ncell has partnered with Shequal Foundation for this largest all-female hackathon in the country.
Other partners of the event include Girls in Tech and Women in Big Data. According to Shequal Foundation, through this event, participating teams work together to create unique and impactful prototype solutions to address problems being faced in various areas. As a part of the preparation, college activation is ongoing until the end of January and will take place in all seven provinces.
Interested girls need to form a team of three girls and can simply register in the hackathon via Ncell App, scanning the event registration code. Shortlisted teams will be announced on February 3.
There will be more than 16 mentors and over 11 jury teams in the event. Winning first, second, and third teams will get exciting prizes.
