KATHMANDU, MAY 9
American Chamber of Commerce in Nepal (AmCham Nepal) and United States Agency for International Development (US-AID) Trade and Competitiveness Nepal have signed a cooperation agreement to facilitate business expansion between Nepal and the United States.
The pact was signed by AmCham Nepal Chairperson Ajit Shah and Head of USAID Trade and Competitiveness Nepal Agnes Luz.
Under the agreement, USAID Trade and Competitiveness will provide support to AmCham Nepal in policy development to enhance investment expansion.
This agreement will create a conducive environment for businesses in both countries to expand into each other's markets.
AmCham Nepal Chairperson Shah stated that the agreement will promote investment between Nepal and America.
The partnership also includes AmCham Nepal's commitment to facilitate interested businesses to invest in Nepal. To accomplish this, AmCham Nepal will organise workshops and training sessions.
The agreement will be in effect from May 20, 2023 to December 26, 2026. The AmCham Nepal is an association of American business organisations operating in Nepal.
