Annul additional duty: FNCCI

Kathmandu, May 14:

A delegation of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) led by its first vice-president Diwakar Golchha met with finance minister Dr Ram Sharan Mahat today at the latter’s office. They asked him to relax fines, charges and interests on banks’ loans as the business sector got a severe blow from the recent strike.

According to a press note, they also demanded to take initiative to annul four per cent additional customs duty imposed on Nepali exportable goods to India. They also asked to form a task force with private sector’s representative to study in detail about the country’s economy, and investment climate.
