Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Tuesday broke all its previous records, hitting an all-time high with 2,960.14 points, a 1.84 per cent increase, on Tuesday.

The benchmark index on the third trading day of the week saw an explosive increase of 53.44 points.

Similarly, the sensitive index measuring the performance of Class 'A' stocks, rose by 7.47 points to 528.11 points. The float index that gauges performances of shares actually traded also rose by 3.94 points to 205.23 points.

The trading market today also saw a significant rise in the daily turnover with 35,700,374 units of altogether 218 companies were traded at Rs 16.951 billion.

At the end of the market today, the total market capitalisation stood at Rs 4.109 trillion.

Majority of the sub-indices were in the green today except for the Hotels and tourism index, Investment index and Microfinance index.

The Life insurance and Non-life insurance indices led the pack of gainers with 666.59 and 554.14 points respectively.
