KATHMANDU: Apex Smile Festival, an annual mega event of Apex College, was organised  recently with a slogan ‘Spreading smile in college and beyond’.

The event that lasted more than four hours exhibited 70 pictures which included photos of smiling participants, smile from society, history of smile culture, pictures from the past that made people smile and some of the fascinating pictures from Bagmati cleaning campaign, as per a media release.

The photographs displayed in the event needed to meet certain criteria: the photographer and the person in the photograph should have been an Apexian, and he/she should have been smiling. The submitted pictures were judged by professional photographer Raj Bhai Suwal. Salina Neupane bagged the first prize whereas Nischal Dhamala and Deepshikha Poudel won second and third prizes, respectively.

The event was sponsored by Nestlé, Airpro Mask and Panorama Digital Photo Studio. Other highlights of the event were cultural show, dance and musical performances.

Also, the audience and participants had options to play games and enjoy food from different stalls.
