Avant Garde runs a seminar on ‘Marketing Research’

KATHMANDU: Avant Garde Solution, a research and consulting firm, organised a seminar on marketing research recently in collaboration with Faculty of Management, Tribhuvan University and Kathmandu University School of Management.

The seminar disseminated research findings on marketing policies and practices favourable to business organisations in Nepal.

During the event, presentations on six research papers were made by Suman Dahal, Sushil Awale, Ramesh Shrestha, Santosh Sharma, Aastha Karki and Keshav Gyawali. The research papers dealt on marketing concepts such as internet advertising, print advertisement, brand equity among others.

Mahendra Shrestha, General Manager of Sujal Foods and key note speaker of the event highlighted uses of marketing research in product development and promotion. Moreover, Shrestha stressed on the need of interaction between academicians and practitioners

Likewise, the speakers asserted that success of a business venture depends on marketing strategies and practices. Moreover, in the process of delivering products and services, managers need to understand why and how customers pay attention and like promotional messages.

Abhaya Prasad Gorkhalee, Deputy General Manager of Dabur Nepal appreciating the contribution of this seminar said that dissemination of such findings facilitate decision making in the corporate sector.
