Bangladesh Ambassador Shafiqur Rahman says competitive products and stronger business partnerships can help expand the global reach of the "Made in Bangladesh" brand.

KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 21

Bangladesh Ambassador to Nepal Shafiqur Rahman has called for promoting the "Made in Bangladesh" brand internationally by marketing competitive and quality products and services.

Addressing Walton's Global Distributors Meet held in Kathmandu on Sunday, Rahman described Walton as a leading Bangladeshi manufacturer of electrical and electronic appliances and praised its focus on innovation, manufacturing quality and product development.

He also highlighted the partnership between Walton and Nepal's Thapa Group, which has represented the company in Nepal since 2010. He urged the two sides to expand Walton's distribution, sales and after-sales service network and develop products suited to Nepali consumers.

Rahman said stronger business partnerships could contribute to increased bilateral trade and people-to-people ties between Bangladesh and Nepal. He also assured that the Bangladesh Embassy would support Walton's efforts to expand its business and marketing activities in Nepal and beyond.

The event brought together around 300 sales representatives from Bangladesh and Nepal. It was organised to recognise high-performing Walton sales professionals and strengthen professional relationships.

Walton Hi-Tech Industries Managing Director S.M. Mahbub Alam, Walton Plaza Managing Director Md Rayhan and Walton Hi-Tech Industries Deputy Managing Director Mofizur Rahaman Zakir also addressed the gathering.
