Bangladeshi journos on FAM trip

Kathmandu, May 1:

Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) organised a familiarisation trip to a group of journalists from Bangladesh to provide an opportunity to discover tourism potentials of Nepal.

Six journalists — Kabirul Haque Somudra of The Daily Janakantha, Sahed Ali of The Daily Prothom Alo, Inam Ahmed of The Daily Star, M Wahiduzzaman of Current View, Abdullah Mohammad Hasan of The Daily Independent and Tahseen Ahmed, Xplore Communications —

all representing leading Bangladeshi media, visited Nepal from April 26 to May 1.

“Such a FAM trip has proved effective in making media persons aware of our destination potential and update existing situation,” states a press release issued here by NTB. It has been organising series of FAM trips for media persons from major markets. The FAM trip aims to provide an opportunity to understand the ground realities of Nepal as against what has been highlighted and printed in international media.

During their stay, the visiting journalists garnered first hand information on tourism potentials and the existing safety and security situations.
