NIC in Lahan

KATHMANDU: NIC Bank started its Lahan branch from Monday. Chairman of the bank Jagdish Prasad Agrawal inaugurated the first private commercial bank’s branch in Sagarmatha zone. To coincide with its 10th anniversary celebration, an ambulance to be managed by Marwadi Sewa Sadan, Lahan, was also donated for the local community. The ambulance was donated from the contributions made by the bank’s customers that were matched by the bank and NIC Foundation. — HNS


EBL-BoC seal deal

KATHMANDU: Everest Bank Ltd (EBL) has tied up with Bank of China (BoC) by opening a Nostro Account to facilitate trade finance and remittance between Nepal and China. Nepali traders can open LC, transfer and receive and send money directly from and to China. It wil also promote remittance facility between Nepal and China. EBL has already tied up with Standard Chartered Bank, American Express Bank, CitiBank, Commerz Bank, JP Morgan Chase Bank, Punjab National Bank, and HDFC for the transaction of US dollar, Euro, GB pound, Australian dollar, Japanese yen and Indian currency from 12 places in seven countries. EBL has slso organised an ‘Importer Meet’ on July 11. — HNS


Citizens’ new branch

KATHMANDU: Citizens’ Bank International opened its tenth branch at Narayanghat on Sunday. Bhola Bikram Thapa, member of the board of directors of the bank, inaugurated the branch that offers various savings and loan schemes along with ATM, remittance and other facilities. — HNS


ATM in Khairenitar

KATHMANDU: Machhapuchhre Bank opened a new ATM at Khairenitar, making it to a total of 31 branches. The bank has also targetted to install ATM services at 10 more places. Apart from the SCT Card, the customers can use international cards like Visa Card, Visa Electron, Visa Plus, Master Card, Master Card Maestro and Cirrus Card. The bank provides ABB, internet banking, mobile banking, ATM, online mobile bill payment, telephone bill payment, locker facilities, 365 days banking and more facilities. — HNS
